Today, we celebrated Paul’s belated birthday by watching the final mix of Miller’s Crossing and ordering the “festive special” meal from Swiss Chalet which, sadly, according to Paul, proved neither festive nor special. Fortunately, our off-key rendition of Happy Birthday more than made up for the sub-par lunch. Sure, Paul did his best to ignore us, even going so far as to pulling out his headphones at one point, but I’m sure he appreciated the genuine outpouring of affection/ass-kissing on the part of his fellow producers. Raises for everyone!
This day was also marked by my interview for Ivon Bartok’s deleted footage special feature for the upcoming season four box-set. Unlike last season, he asked me to preface each deleted scene with a commentary. “But I already covered everything in my blog,”I protested. To which Marty G. rather cold-heartedly replied: “Not everyone reads your blog.” While I find that very hard to believe, I did nevertheless repeat my clever insights for the official record. At the end of the day though, it’s really neither here nor there as most fans will be fast-forwarding past that particular section to get to the bloopers. Yep, you heard right. For the very first time in Stargate history, we’ll be offering up the number one most fan-requested extra. Exactly what ends up as part of the special feature will depend on the actors, but there are plenty of fun clips to choose from.
We went to our favorite Vietnamese restaurant last night - Thai Son on East Broadway. I had the number 47 with extra pork fluff and split the special seafood-stuffed egg crepe with Fondy. I love this place. Too bad they don’t also do sandwiches (like the one pictured from Au Petit Café).
Finally, to all those who care (which I’m sure is many, many, maaany of you), my eye is almost all better (although the antibiotics I’m taking are knocking me out at a little after 9:00 p.m. every night). Which brings me to one more item I’d like to add to my banned list: fiber glass. It’s material made up of REALLY TINY GLASS FIBERS! Why the fuck would anyone invent something like this? What possible practical applications could it have? I’ll tell you. None. But this revelation apparently came too late along the manufacturing process and so, saddled with this innocuous-looking pink atrocity, someone figured - what the hell, let’s get rid of this shit - and just stuffed it behind walls or ceiling panels for unwitting husbands to stumble across. Seriously. It’s like inventing an acid hat or radioactive shorts. Why?! What the hell were they thinking?!
Today’s mailbag:
Charles Schneider writes: “Any ideas on what your main hobby will be this next year (like chocolate, ice cream, books, etc.)?”
Answer: I’ve narrowed it down to speed skating, rug hooking, and collecting bottle caps from discontinued sodas.
OctoberMoon writes: “So, since I would live to change careers, what exactly does a producer do?”
Answer: Blogs, discusses the weekend sports highlights with his fellow producers, and generally tries to avoid ordering lunch from Swiss Chalet.
Philly writes: “How do you feel about dance offs?”
Answer: I’m all for them so long as they involve members of our production. Last season, we had a huge dance-off that came down to Carl Binder vs. my sometimes driver Larry for all the marbles. Carl got served!
Crownglass39 writes: “ On a completely unrelated note, you may enjoy reading Soon I Will Be Invincible: A Novel.”
Answer: Intriguing. I’m putting it on my to-read list.
PG15 writes: “I read on Alex Levine's SciFi blog that you guys were going to dress up as the peptobismol commercial guys for Halloween; whatever happened to that?”
Answer: Alas, Chris was in New Zealand so there was Halloween Party. But that didn’t stop me from dressing up as Heartburn and wandering the neighborhood until some concerned parents called the police and I was escorted back home.
Girl Curl 3 writes: “Laura Cadman has always been a favorite - any chance we could see her in the future?”
Answer: Chances of seeing Laura Cadman in season five = approximately 0%.
JJ writes: “Have you mastered putting in eye drops yet?”
Answer: No, but Fondy has.
Annie writes: “Can you add marzipan to that ban list?”
Answer: Hello, no! I love marzipan!
Anonymous #1 writes: “You need someone in the writing room with you guys who actually understands the science of how things really work and can tell you when the psuedo-science bullcrap you guys think up is bullcrap.”

Answer: All? No. Some? Yes.
Anonymous #2 writes: “Any chance the Shankster will be reprising his role as DJ in S5?”
Answer: It’s possible.

So now Jason cut his hair and I would love to see it write into the show. I think it'd be hilarious if Shep give Ronon his easy 3 step hair care: 1. Never wash it. 2. Never comb it. 3. Remember the 2 easy step above.
Oh! Oh! first again!!! Lucky me.
any who - glad to hear that your eye is getting better.
One question, Joe, on the recent showing of SG1 s10 episode with Vala's father (sorry the title didnt show up on the digital service), I really like the way the set dressers decorated the apartment. Especially the lamp with the metal flowers rising from the base. Do you know where the props people got this lamp or was it made 'in house'??
Hi Joe!
Glad your eye is getting better. Sad you had so-so food from Swiss Chalet.
Glad we'll see both deleted scenes and bloopers(!) on the S4 DVDs. Sad that fiberglass exists.
Glad you had extra fluffy pork(?). Sad Thai Son doesn't do sandwiches.
Glad Doppleganger and Tabula Rasa exist! Sad I have to wait a few more days til the next SGA ep!
...and that's the way it is, the way it shall be...
eddy
Fibreglass is pretty good for making boat hulls that look good, however. Your problem is that they designed insulation for going in walls, not eyes, Joe.
You're from Montreal, right? I'll be visiting Montreal in a few months. Any restaurant suggestions?
Well, just watched the latest episode of House...I'm curious, what's your opinion on the whole "Eric Foreman returning to work for House" thing, especially considering the contents of this week's episode?
Joe's Answer: "Chances of seeing Laura Cadman in season five = approximately 0%."
Geez...you just started season 5. Why would you so quickly say 0%? Cadman's a great character with lots of charisma. *big sigh of disappointment*

LOL ;~D *evil grin*
Kimberly
Hmmm rug hooking sounds like it could lead to one of the seminal moments of your young life. It has all the glamour of Speed Skating, and only some of the potential for drawing blood.
Do you have any Gary Jones-esque stories from the past year involving hilarious run-ins, possibly with unsuspecting bystanders/fans?
YAY!! Blooper reel!!
Any idea how many monts after season 4 has aired that the DV set will be available? 5? 10? Less?

Tonight or I should say last night, has it is now 2.59 in the morning I watched DG ep and enjoyed it, even if I would have preferred more McKay. PS as a producer and a writer if the strike spread to Canada would you have to be a producer moonlighting as a writer.
Yesterday Anonymous said...“Her (Katie Brown's) character represents a more traditional woman(in the best sense of the term) in a show where the female viewers want only strong women characters who dress (no cleavage, bare midriffs, etc) and act like men.
Katie is different.
From the story line we see she is smart, got her education and experience in her field, was good enough to be selected for the Atlantis project and got McKay through personality and intelligence and not by beating him over the head with sticks and dragging him back to her room.”
No, no, no, NO! Sheesh…I don’t want the women to dress like men and act like men. I DO want them to be independent and strong, and if they have to dress in slacks because it’s easier to go off world that way, that’s ok. Seriously, should they go off world in a traditional dress? (btw I love Bree on Desperate Housewives…how much more traditional can you get? And wow..she would kick butt if she were on SGA...lol)
Which Atlantis woman/women have hit men over the head with sticks and dragged them back to her/their room/s? Although, there are a few guys on SGA I can imagine doing that to….um….if I were single ;~). I don’t think Katie acquired McKay through her personality at all. I think he is settling for her as he’s lonely. (just my opinion) He’s not good with charming the ladies and has been pretty beat down by Sam and others due to his lack of good social skills with women.
The reason I don’t care for Katie is because, even though I like sweet women characters (among many different kinds of women’s characters), she is just TOO sugary, syrupy sweet! I wish they’d write her having a backbone and better dialogue. She’s not a sweet little teenage ingénue just spreading her wings, she’s a woman and I wish she’d act like it. (I know it’s not the actress's fault…the character's just written that way…um…sorry Joe)
For all the naysayers who wish for no more SGA, I would still watch the show, even if my favorite character, McKay married the too sugary sweet Katie, and they had 10 little sugary lollipop kids! (ugh…I think I threw up a little in my mouth again at that thought *shudders*) I really love and enjoy the show that much!

Heya Joe! Glad to see you're eye is doing better! Get it? Glad to SEE... Haha....?
Anyways, i'm also glad to hear that there are going to be some more deleted scenes in the season 4 set, and *shock* BLOOPERS! W00T! Double W00T!
God, this is going to sound bad, and i don't mean to sound like a picky patsy... But could you do me (us fans) a favor in regards to the season 4 set? Could you put in a word to Ivon, or whomever is in charge of it, that the fans would REALLY like to have the actor commentaries return?
I REALLY missed this feature from the season 3 set! Don't get me wrong, i love the producer, writer, and director's input (nothing beats a Martin & Martin commentary... Well except if it had an actor with them), but i (and others) love hearing the actor's perspective on how shooting went that day. Or in the case of David, what hells he was put through, hehe. But that would be it! I'd really love to see them return.
On to Tabula Rasa, wow what a good episode. It fit well with halloween week too! I'm glad to see scifi starting to repeat the previous week's episode before the new ones on friday. Hate to say it, but Flash Gordon was not the best lead-in in the world.
Oh, eye drops... the trick is to lean your head back until you're looking straight up, place the dropper right above your eye, and stare right at the tip of the dropper as you drop one into your eye. If you're looking directly up at the dropper, you shouldn't miss ;).
Logic
Hi Joe,
so now that you are officially thinking about season 5, on what would it depend to bring Carson back and are you at least considering it?
Can you express any thoughts on the writer strike? Would the Canadian equivalent follow suit to show solidarity and support?
I was curious as to whether you've ever read any of Tad Williams' Otherland series, and if so what you thought of them.
It seems you're finally beginning to realize the genius mastermind behind fiberglass. Suffice it to say I dabbled in glass and fiber in my youth. My accomplishments surprise even me. Maleficent, no?
Will there be any moments in Ark of Truth/Continuum where Sam has a very heroic/self-sacrificing moment? I don't think we've ever seen her do something like that before.
I'm glad to hear your eye is getting better. And how has this week been after last week's run of not-so-fun experiences? Hopefully much better (it sounds like it has been).
Really enjoyed "Tabula Rasa". I think Jewel Staite really shined in this one.
My question actually pertains to one of Jewel's past sci-fi roles--"Space Cases"! I don't know if you ever saw that show (sort of a "Lost in Space" take off on Nickelodeon created by Bill Mumy) but it was good. Tell her she was awesome in that! My brothers and I loved it when we were young. You should try to get the commander of the ship (talented Canadian actor Paul Boretski) to do a guest spot onn Atlantis--would be alot of fun to see himin sci-fi again.
Later,
Royal
you would deny baron destructo his lucky radioactive shorts? what sort of menace ARE you???
*gd&r*

BLOOPERS!!! WhooHoo! Thank you!!!!
i'm having a wonderful season 1 SGA marathon lately it has been a great blood pressure relief all that laughing should make my blood practically dead!
So do you think you could add spicy chinese noodles to the banned list?
any word on a third SG-1 movie?
apparently chris judge mentioned something at a con in new zealand & michael shanks said something about it at the NJ con this weekend.
Glad your eye is doing better,
I do agree fire glass is a menace, how can something that resembles Cotton candy be so awefull...hmm funny it kind of reminds me of Granny wraith wig.
Did Fondy take pictures of the french bull dog's puppies? if yes please post them!
If you do get another one what color would it be?
white ones are SO cute.
Hi Joe:
Charles Schneider writes: “Any ideas on what your main hobby will be this next year (like chocolate, ice cream, books, etc.)?”
You answered: I’ve narrowed it down to speed skating, rug hooking, and collecting bottle caps from discontinued sodas.
Sodas? Sodas!? In Canada we say, "pop". What were you thinking, Joe?
I just found out that Cliff Simon said that some (hopefully all) of his costumes on Continuum are sleeveless. The story was that some very smart person saw Cliff in a tank top and realized that the man is ripped!!! That alone should make Continuum the most popular of the movies. Yes, RDA being in it will help a little.
So, in advance of a very hot Ba'al, may I say, THANK YOU!!!!

I'm totally going to be annoying and ask repeatidly if Amanda tapping is cast for season 5
so is Amanda Tapping in Season 5? if so will she be in it for more episodes
lalalala
During your interview for the deleted scenes I hope you remembered to mention your blog and how witty and charming I am in the comments I write.
Oh, you shouldn't have. Really.
i *heart* crepes! now i'm contemplating the feasibility of asking my mom to make & ups some.
and extra pork skin? would if i could, but yeesh! how good was your cholesterol result?
p.s. ever tried making those sandwiches at home? easiest way to get that flavor: viet/french mayo and soy sauce.
Good to know your eye is on the mend! I knew it was the insulation..
Honestly, I cannot fathom why people thought tiny glass fiber insulation was an excellent idea. I guess its the same train of thought that led to the use of asbestos. Realistically these materials were used because of their insulating and fire retardent properties.
Almost isn't worth it when the other 90% of your house is made of combustible materials eh?
Even more disturbing, asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral, even in Canada. =P.
You'll be happy to know that builders have slowly been switching to the use of loose fill Cellulose fiber, made from recycled newspapers, which is chemically treated for fire and moisture resistance.
Gawd. Aren't you happy I'm full of semi-useless information?
I agree with LogicSequence - actor commentaries for Season 4 - Please?
I'm glad that in the fight between fibreglass vs eye both entered the arena and both managed to stagger back out again, though hopefully not to fight another day.
Am pleased as punch to hear about the blooper reel! I hope it's the one with the actors laughing and not the version where they're throwing their props at the Director and running screaming from the set to their trailors where they kick over their complimentary fruit basket and call their agents. Hold on to that instead and sell it to the "Behind the Scenes" people; you'll make a mint.
No, I'm sure the cast are lovely. If I could I'd kidnap them all, stuff them with leaves, and prop them up in my lounge. But apparently there are laws. Always with the damn laws.
Did you say bloopers ? OMG !!!! No kidding? Even in the French DVDs Boxset ?
STARGATE I LOVE YEEEEE!!!!
hello Mr. joe, my name is amel and i want you ask:
any chance to seeing weir in season five? approximatly -50% or +50%!!!
and congratulatory , tabula rasa is HUGGGG!!!!
Godd to hear your eye lid is getting better!!
So, you don't want to add marzipan to the ban list. What about white chocolate, which isn't even chocolate??
Have a nice day...

Salut Joseph!!! =)

A oui!
Does Katie Brown have to simper so much? I love the actress but the character is imo very shallow and one dimensional seeming to exist purely as Rodney's love interest I'm sure that underneath the simpering is a woman with the metaphorical balls of steel, let her out!
Just wanted to say that I saw Travelers last night with the UK showing and I enjoyed it...maybe not as serious or angsty as some of the past episodes this season but just really great fun. Poor McKay - he never gets kidnapped by the sexy alien - now there's an idea for S5! :D
Swiss Chalet! Eep. Well, at least it wasn't the place across the street from the studio. :)
Whatever happened to Peter DeLuise?
Glad to hear that your eye is healing. Even more glad to hear that we'll be getting bloopers!! Here's hoping the actors are willing. I just love seeing bloopers.
As for the dance off? I'm sure that Martin Gero is probably the king. He just looks like all sorts of Mr. Funky.
Hiya, ITS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! *ahem*
Nov 7th (I live in Aus and not sure about the time difference ^^)
I got atlantis season 2 YAY!
Will there be different title screens and stuff in the new box sets cause these ones are ummmm well not that awesome heh XD
Anywho Im glad your eyes feeling better!
Glad your eye is almost all better.
I'm all for banning fiberglass since I'm allergic to it.
I agree with your banishement list of fiber glass insulation and ice cream sandwiches... I haven't been able to eat the above mentioned (ice cream sandwich) as I have EXTREMELY sensitive teeth and cry out in pain any time i'm stupid enough to try.
As for fiberglass it's just weird and nasty.. I was telling a friend about your home improvment attept and the insuing eye infection their respsonse: "that's what he gets for doing something he knew he had no business doing". Just for the record I do not agree and thought that was very husbandly of you... :)
1)Will the temporary allignment with the Wraith have delayed consequences?
2)Will we discover more human enemies this season, hopefully ones as charismatic as Kolya?
Hi, I took your advice and completed the superhero/villian quizzes and came out with some surprising results. Apparently, I wwould either be a great Apocalypse 72%,or either Magneto and Dr Doom at 69%.
Did you take the Superhero quiz? (Purely for research purposes, how better to know your enemy and all)
I came out as Green Lantern 85% (I think that's because I said No to Capes).
I agree with logicsequence, I've been putting in eyedrops since I was 4, (eye issues, don't ask, it would take waaay too long to explain) and the best way to put eyedrops in is to look at the dropper.... as long as you can see it.
Hope your eyes get better soon.

Question: Is it true Peter DeLuise left Stargate Atlantis?
Joe, when you commented that the WGA strike wouldn't impact Atlantis, you did so at a time when everyone assumed the writers would be going on strike in January 08 at the earliest. This is a time, by your own estimation and going by past seasons, when half the season would have already been written. Since the WGA decided for an early strike, does this cause you to revise your earliest statement. I'm asking because ever since the strike started on Monday, you've been back in the office and haven't mentioned anything about stories being broken. You mention watching sound mixes which I know are part of your non-script duties as a producer, but not a mention of any of the stories you guys are supposed to be in there thkining up.
To those who mentioned getting the actors to do the s4 audio commentaries:
As a fellow fan, I'd love that too (in my opinion, the best audio commentaries ever are those with Martin Wood, Martin Gero, Joe Flanigan and David Hewlett together. They rock!). However, as far as I understand, doing these audio commentaries is completely voluntary and it has to be done on weekends (since the shooting schedule makes it impossible to do this on weekdays).
And the actors have families/significant others and now all of them except Jewel have kids. Weekends are the time they can spend with their families. Why on Earth should they spend it doing audio commentaries? I know that if I was in their place, nothing would make me spend my weekends working instead of being with my family. Why the actors should be any different? They work like 12 hours every day on weekdays.
And, from what I've always read, they're always on a tight schedule, like any TV show, so making time during the weekdays to make the audio commentaries would be out of the question, from a financial point of view.
I'd like to listen to them in the DVDs as much as anybody else, but I'm happy they're choosing their families instead. Like any of us would do.

Have you seen SG-1 ep 716, Death Knell? Sam was heroic and self-sacrificing in that one. As well as in ep 611, Prometheus. Two suggestions of many eps.
I've just read this article and some people can be so damm rude.
puedo science? Bullcrap this person needs to think before he acts or choose a diffrent tv show to bitch about!!!!!!!
And on gateworld.net people are worried that stargate will be affected by this strike.
But theoredically if your not on strike JM then no one is.
am i right?
and if this so called strike affects the show surely the crew and you will call for outsider help a.k.a wannabe script writers
it's simple, why is everybody worried about it i'm not. what do you think about this strike?
you know my e-mail JM

Sorry about your eye, but glad to hear it's getting better! I've heard of many problems from antibiotics, but not being tired out by them. I hope you're on a short course of them!
Hey Joe,
Well, I saw Tabula Rasa on Monday night, and I've spent a couple of days thinking about it, as I don't want my feedback to be off-the-cuff.
I thought it was excellent. I particularly enjoyed how the seemingly bizarre behaviours and situations of all the people in the city were gradually revealed to be based on decisions that were sensible at the time. The use of the secondary characters (Lorne, Zelenka and Keller) was fantastic. They had just enough presence to be noted and appreciated. Similarly, this is the first episode in which I felt that Carter's role was both proportional, in that she served a fundamentally support role, and relevant, in that her presence tied in wonderfully with the story. By the same token, Teyla and Ronan were well used in the episode. Overall, the story was intriguing and well-written, and I give special applause to the well-balanced use of all the characters.
One comment as an aside:
Somebody wrote that you guys need a better understanding of scientific principles, to which you responded:
"I hate to be the one to break it to you, but pseudo-science is, by its very nature, bullcrap."
Believe me, I understand your sentiment, but there is something to be said for the viewer not being able to tell that the pseudo-science is ridiculous. I don't think you need to be scientifically accurate, but perhaps more thought should be given to making more convincing pseudo-science. I think that an effort in that direction would be in the viewers' interest, and, by extension, in your interest as well.
Sincerely,
Hey Guy,
Your little riddle about the episodes is just funny. S&R is real clear. It means Sam & Rodney, what else?
Deleted scenes in the season four box set? Cool. Bloopers? Even cooler. Both? Fantastic!
Good news about your eye. Hope it keeps getting better.
"Except for Katie Brown...she must go. -Kimberly" Please don't kill off KB. The scenes between her and McKay are always funny.
Please answer my question. Do either of the movies have an important story arc for Sam? If so, which one? Thanks.
So since your sharing casting chances for next year, can we have Beckett back please?
Hey, Joe!
Love your blog. Great humor and wit. Comes through in the writing for the show. Good stuff.
Regarding the deleted scenes for S4 are they going to be all lumped together or will they be put with the episodes to which they belong?
To you and all the other writers thanks for the great stories. Keep up the good work.
Hello! :) I'm loving my season 4 fix if SGA, but I was wondering...Is Jason's infamous hair-cuttting going to be written into the show, akin to what happened to Teal'c and his growing of hair from SG-1 Season 7-8, even if it's just a throaway comment, like Jack said about "What's with the hair. No, really, what's with the hair..." from the Season 8 primere.
Or will it just be hair today, gone tomoorrow, with no onscreen mention at all?
I hopew it's the former tho! That there's at least SOME type of mention. :)
Well - keep up the great work, Joe M.!
Awesome progress on the bloopers, Joe! Thanks to you, Ivon, and everyone, and may I say to the actors: loosen up and let us see the bloopers! They can't be as bad as the ones with Kirk and Spock dancing around cabaret-style in a jail cell.
People will like who they like, and seeing how McKay is fictional, he'll like whoever he pleases (which is who the writers make him like). You've all seen odd couples. If you don't like Katie, tough. Call it an odd couple if you have to.
Personally, I think all those women who can't stand Katie are just jealous. They want McKay all for themselves and can't stand the sight of a normal nice woman getting him!
Hi Joe,
Love the idea of bloopers. Is it possible that we could get the bloopers included for both SG1 movies? Would have loved to have seen the bloopers from 10 years of Stargate. I have a feeling it would have been a gold mine (g).
Saw lots of lovely pictures of Mike on G.W. and MSOL that were taken at the N.J. Con. LOVE his hair! His hair curls up when it gets longer. *sigh*. I don't suppose you and Brad can be bribed to let Mike keep the longer hair for the 3rd movie and Atlantis? Anyway, he looks gorgeous as always. Glad you'll be having Daniel in season 5. He's my favorite and I miss him a lot.
I have to admit that I am concerned about how the writers' strike will affect Atlantis. Not just from the writing of scripts, but almost all actors will support the strike, and a number of your actors are SAG. Am I wrong Joe?
Any chance of seeing Jack O´neill on SGA season 5??
Glad to know your eye is feeling better Joe; it's bad enough that pains and aches affect your daily motions, but when they attack one of your most needed senses, it could get absolutely bitch cakes.
But I'm not here to talk about that Joe. I see from yesterday's entry (i.e. this entry) that you have inadvertently joined the Cult of 47. Yes, a great many of us join this way, but when we have realized it, it pleases us to no end.
Yes yes, you may say you chose number 47 at Thai Son because you thought it'd taste good, but in reality, it is actually the Creator who spread his message of 47 into your brain at that moment. No, I'm not talking about the Creator of any known religion, no. The Cult of 47 believes that the Creator is 47 personified. He is at once equal to every number; he is the voice of the people, and only through 47 can we fulfill our destiny of enlightenment.
It's been said that the Creator lived unto the end of the time, and there, he realized that 47 will be his number of choice for the spreading of his message of equality. And lo, he builteth a time machine, painted a wacky, lopsided 47 on it, and activtedeth it. At once, this holiest of holy numbers was cast across time and space, and those who find it and understands its true meaning will gain much from it, for it is the Number.
Now, to formally welcome you to this cult, we'll need your banking information and social security number (if a 47 is found within, you win a super special prize!).
Hope to hear from you soon, brethren.
...and that's my way of showing how Trekkie I am. Yes.

So I've been sitting here eagerly watching each episode, and while I have enjoyed most of them, I am still not sure I understand Carter's role. Wasn't she supposed to bring something different? Wasn't she supposed to help you do with a leader what you couldn't do with Weir (involve her in scientific and military excursions/decisions). So far, I haven't seen anything that makes Carter a better choice for the leader of Atlantis than Weir.
I'm not saying this as a Weir-supporter/Carter-basher, I say this as a fan. I'm still not seeing why the switch was made. And to be perfectly honest, I'm still being distracted by Carter's presence...
Are there any episodes coming up in this first half of the season that will change my mind, or am I going to continue sitting around each Friday wondering why Weir was sacrificed?
That is such a shame about Doppelganger! It is my favorite episode so far this season and I am still watching it over and over!
YEAH for bloopers!!!
Its almost certainly far too early to ask this, but hey, why would that stop me? If SGU were to get the go ahead, would you eventually become involved in running it?
I'll second that request for Jack in season five. I think it'd be great.
Hey Joe,
Do you or anybody on the cast and crew like Family Guy? I thought it would be cool if Family Guy did a Stargate episode. :)
Best,

Is Katie Brown's botany lab in the central control area? The area protected by the shield in Adrift?
I loved Tabula Rasa, btw :)
And here I was putting such faith in Mr Binder's ghetto credentials. On second thoughts, I'm hoping it was more West Side Story - click offs beat breakdancing any day....
Mind you, that's probably due to my intense hatred of exercise.I don't run unless being chased.
Glad your eye's on the mend, by the way. A friend of mine recently, quite literally, poked herself in the eye with a big stick. A good story to have in the arsenal, but apparently very, very painful. I'm still feeling a bit guilty.

Tonight or I should say last night, has it is now 2.59 in the morning I watched DG ep and enjoyed it, even if I would have preferred more McKay.
I meant to say Travelers please notice the time *blush* and blame the excitement of finally getting a Google account identity instead of anonymous.
Hi Joe
It's really exciting to hear about the extras to go on the box set of SGA season 4.. Sounds really super. You are henceforth reinstated as one of my heros > Great season so far.. I love the interaction between the characters and it nice to see their development. I'd love to see the thing between Sheppard and Teyla blossom.. I think that would lead to an interesting story. Now,
I think I'll go and have an icecream bar...
Take Care

Joe,
How do you deal with negative criticism of the episodes from either professional critics or fan critics who at least write a well thought out and written critique? Do you read them to try and see if there may be some valid constructive criticism within them or do you mostly just dismiss them as "not getting" it?
Have you ever read one of these critiques and later on think that it might have helped you write better?
Thanks!
Please don't bring over Jackson. And please get rid of Carter. Bring back Weir, please. So far this season has been really awful.
